Amanda Byram shows off her baby bump in throwback bikini pregnancy snap

She recently welcomed a baby boy Phoenix with her husband Julian Okines. 

And Amanda Byram, 48, showed off her baby bump in a throwback bikini pregnancy snap as she wished her mother a happy birthday on Wednesday.

The Irish television presenter took to Instagram as she shared a series of snaps with her mum Betty, as she turned another year older.

In one of the pictures she showed off her changing shape in a black and white flower patterned two piece as she enjoyed a family holiday. 

In another she shared a throwback snap as a child with her mum before posting a snap of Betty pushing Phoenix’s pram.

She captioned the images: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the MOST amazing mummy and grandmother, in the world! 

‘I am forever in awe of you, your endless, sage advice, your eternal patience and your mind blowing physical and mental strength. Plus I hope I look as good as you when I’m your age!!’

It comes after last month Amanda gave an insight into her pregnancy journey by admitting she ‘expanded emotionally and spiritually’ as she shared a collection of snaps documenting her growing bump. 

The star took to Instagram to share a series of photos at different stages in her pregnancy, after revealing last month she’d welcomed her first child.

In the images, Amanda stood side on and smiled for the camera, with each snap showing a different stage in her pregnancy, with the final image showing her cradling her baby son.

Alongside the images she detailed the intense emotions that she had felt throughout her pregnancy as she was still in ‘awe’ at how she had grown mentally. 

She described that she didn’t know she was capable of feeling such a level of ‘love, determination, instinct and sheer gratitude’ than she did when she became a mother.

Amanda penned a lengthy caption as she detailed her experience, she wrote: ‘GROWTH… ❤️ Looking back I’m still in awe…How on earth did I grow this beautiful baby in my tummy?!? 

‘Thing is, I grew in more ways than one! And as my bump grew, so I expanded emotionally and spiritually to match.

‘I had no idea of the capacity my heart had to feel such powerful love, determination, instinct and sheer gratitude.

‘Most of all I was surprised at how much I enjoyed watching my body change in a way that once upon a time would have terrified me. 

She continued: ‘For years, even close friends had said I would hate being pregnant because I have an active lifestyle and they assumed I would feel trapped or anxious, but I found the opposite to be true. I wasn’t restricted in anyway and stayed active, fit and healthy throughout.

‘Overall, I adored being pregnant. I was blessed with a healthy pregnancy – not a blessing I take for granted. 

Amanda finished and explained her feelings on becoming a mother and how baby Phoenix change her life. 

She wrote: ‘I cherished every moment, even the morning sickness (which should be called 24/7 sickness!) because it was reassurance that he was there inside getting ready to change our lives forever. This year, I grew… into a mother… when the baby is born, the mother is born…’

This came after she gave a candid insight into breastfeeding her four-week-old son, saying it has left her with ‘nipple pain’ and wanting to ‘scream and cry’.

Amanda took to Instagram to share a photograph of herself breastfeeding Phoenix.

She gave a warm smile to the camera as her blonde tresses fell across her shoulders in a straight fashion while her newborn baby lay curled up across her chest in a blanket.  

Alongside the picture, Amanda revealed that she has found breastfeeding difficult and ‘fiddly’ and said it has left her with ‘nipple pain’.

She said she wanted to share her experience so other new mothers did not feel the same ‘pressure’ she felt to ‘get it right’ immediately.

Amanda said she has been through ‘painful night feeds’ which have left her wanting to ‘scream and cry’ and said she was not prepared for the process of breastfeeding.

Sweet: Amanda said that now her son, who she shares with husband Julian Okines (pictured) is ‘finally here,’ they realise that they have ‘never been more ready’ to be his parents
