Halted: Production on season 10 of FX anthology series American Horror Story has been temporarily shut down after an actor tested positive for COVID-19, Variety reported Tuesday
The news of the temporary shutdown comes just one day after Hollywood studios and unions reached a tentative agreement that would allow the relaxation of some protocols put in place last year as a result of the pandemic.
The deal announced Monday would allow producers to mandate vaccinations for cast and crew in the so-called Zone A on a production-by-production basis as well as easing the requirement for masks in outdoor places and reducing testing.
However, Los Angeles Country reinstated a mandatory mask mandate in indoor public places at the weekend regardless of vaccination status due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases driven by the Delta variant.
Other counties in California have followed suit or issued advisories recommending people mask up in indoor settings.
