Anna Faris reveals she secretly married fiancé Michael Barrett at a local courthouse

“I’m looking around so, my fiancé is right…well he’s now my husband. Yes, we eloped. I’m sorry honey I just blurted that out. I can’t say fiancé anymore.”

To which Gail replied: “You guys, that’s beautiful!”

Anna continued: “It was awesome. It feels great. It was at a local courthouse up in Washington state. It was great.”

The House Bunny actress then revealed that even their families didn’t know that they had wed.

She added: “We saw my family and it kind of slipped out the same way. My aunt asked me, ‘You are going to be a stepmom. How are you feeling about that?’ and I said, ‘Actually I am a stepmom as of like four days ago, but it was great.’

“Everything about it just felt right.”

On Wednesday, Anna and Michael sparked rumours they had already walked down the aisle after Michael was spotted with a ring on that finger as the pair enjoyed some time together in Santa Monica.

The couple were spotted dining at Tallula's Mexican restaurant with Anna's son Jack, eight, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt.

Whilst Michael was showing off a new ring, Anna could still be seen wearing her yellow cushion-cut diamond ring that Michael gave her for her engagement.

The couple have been dating since they met on the set of Overboard and are thought to have got engaged in 2019, with their wedding plans likely to have been shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Anna and Michael's engagement was first confirmed by her pal Allison Janney.

Speaking in January 2020, she told Us Weekly : "I know she’s been engaged for a long time.

"I kept it very quiet, I’ll have you know! So, I celebrated with them a long time ago. I didn’t know he was going to propose, but I saw the ring one day. I went into her room to work on lines [for their show Mom], and then I was like, 'What is that ring on your finger?'

"I think she was waiting for everyone to notice. 'Oh, that’s it,' and then… yeah, it was fun."
