Antonio Conte reportedly turned down the chance to become the next manager of the Holland national team following their exit from Euro 2020.
Frank de Boer left his role after his side crashed out of the tournament with a 2-0 defeat by the Czech Republic in the last 16, despite comfortably topping their group.
Conte, who managed Italy from 2014-2016, is a free agent after terminating his contract with Inter Milan by mutal consent.

According to Italian journalist Maurizio Pistocchi, the 51-year-old was approached by the Dutch federation over their vacant role.
However, Pistocchi reports that Conte would prefer to wait and take up a club role.
The former Chelsea boss had discussions with Tottenham in June but walked away from talks after because of doubts over the club’s project.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte – who usually demands around £15million a year – has appeared to shine a light on his failed switch to north London – suggesting that money was never a problem.

‘Let me say that if my problem or my obsession were money, in the past I would have stayed where I was. I would have accepted compromises, and perhaps [accepted] renewals. But instead I look at the projects and I am willing to stay at home if they don’t convince me.
‘In general, I like challenges and I have shown that I have always accepted a lot of them, because even the big clubs I had never started as favourites when I took them,’ he added. ‘But if there is something that does not convince me, I prefer to say “no thank you”‘.
Conte has often taken charge of struggling teams and taken them up a level – he took over at Chelsea after they had just finished 10th and won them the Premier League title the following season.
Inter Milan had been struggling to qualify for the top four in Serie A prior to his appointment and he led them to the league crown in his second year.
