The vibe of the ad was space-age and futuristic with the hitmaker wearing a clear helmet around her face bedecked with large chandelier crystals.

Grande announced her new brand earlier this month and admitted to Allure that she’d been quietly developing it for years.

She said: ‘It was so hard to keep a secret for this long!’

The singer’s first ‘drop’ focuses mainly on products for the eyes, because, she said they are: ‘our main gateways to our dreams, our emotions, our everything.’

Ariana has created fine-point eyeliner markers, liquid eye shadows in a range of matte shades and glitters, and a mascara.

Announcing her make-up line while gracing the cover of Allure, she said of the power of eyes: ‘They’re our main storytellers and sources of communication. I feel like you can emote more with your eyes than you can articulate sometimes.’

Asked if she was concerned about being another pop star who has gone into the beauty industry, she insisted it wasn’t a fear she ever had.

‘Because you can never have enough makeup, just like you can never have enough music,’ she brilliantly explained.

Discussing the type of look that inspired her to create r.e.m. beauty, Ariana told the publication: ‘I’ve always sort of gravitated towards the ’50s and ’60s and ’70s for glamour references.

‘I’ve always pictured myself in a different time period. I’ve always wanted to wear that makeup, wear that hair, wear those outfits, be those performers.’

This week, the songstress made her debut as a coach on season 21 The Voice on NBC, appearing for the first time at the start of blind auditions.

It didn’t take the Grammy-winner long before she learned how to fight the other seasoned coaches -Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton- to gain coveted contestants.

‘I’ve been watching The Voice for years,’ Ariana said at the start of the show to the camera. ‘I wanted to be a coach because I loved the show. I have a lot of experience and I think my ears are better than my voice.’

All the show judges chanted ‘Ari’ before the first contestant took the stage as Ariana smiled.
