Arsenal clear out is underway as ‘FOUR players could leave before the end of the January window’

Arsenal could see a handful of departures this month with interest in Pablo Mari, Bernd Leno, Eddie Nketiah and Sead Kolasinac, according to reports.

Mikel Arteta is continuing his Emirates rebuild to turn them into a force again following several years well off the pace after the departure of Arsene Wenger.

And now defenders Mari and Kolasinac, goalkeeper Leno, striker Nketiah could be on their way out of the exit door.

Sportsmail understands Crystal Palace are eyeing up a move for forward Nketiah but salary demands are proving to be a stumbling block.

The 22-year-old, who has had to bide his time and be patient at the north London club, is out of contract in the summer and therefore can speak to non-English clubs this month.

Nketiah has interest from Germany and France and their lucrative offers could fend off any approaches from clubs in England.

Pablo Mari is attracting interest from Udinese while Bernd Leno has fallen down pecking order

While Udinese have started negotiations with centre back Mari over a loan deal, according to reports in Italy, with the 28-year-old having featured only three times all season.

Left back Kolasinac is on the verge of leaving the Gunners in the winter window with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille leading the race to bring him on a permanent deal, report PA, while back-up shot-stopper Leno could also be on the move.

Leno has lost his place as Arteta’s No 1 to Aaron Ramsdale and like Mari, Nketiah and Kolasinac has to put up with limited game time.

Another player that could be departing the Gunners is Granit Xhaka, although not until the summer.

Roma will reportedly head back in for Xhaka with the midfielder emerging as Jose Mourinho’s No 1 summer target.
