Arsenal fans ripped into much-maligned midfielder Granit Xhaka once again on social media after the Swiss international received another red card, this time at Liverpool.
Mid-way through the first-half at Anfield, Xhaka produced a high challenge on Diogo Jota when he was the last defender, which led to referee Michael Olivier brandishing the red card and giving the 29-year-old his marching orders.
The other Gunners players were then left to play the final hour of their Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg a man light, but Arsenal fans had already unleashed their fury at Xhaka by the time he got to the dressing room.

Arsenal fans took just a few seconds to start ripping into the Swiss midfielder for his red card
One fan posted: ‘Granit Xhaka is brain dead. I don’t think this guy is normal in the head.’
Thursday night’s sending off is Xhaka’s fifth in his Arsenal career, while only Spain defender Sergio Ramos has more sending offs since the Swiss midfielder made his Gunners debut in the 2016-17 season.
His most recent red card before the Anfield clash was another first-half dismissal awa at Manchester City in August, a match which Arsenal went on to lose 5-0
Fans of other teams also took the opportunity to make fun of Arsenal and Xhaka after another moment of madness.
