On Monday, Sam got into a crash about 10 minutes away from Britney’s house in Thousand Oaks, California, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Luckily, neither Sam nor the woman whose car he hit were injured, and neither party was cited for the accident.
The crash comes after Britney complained in a furious court statement during her battle to have her father removed as her conservator, that her conservatorship wouldn’t allow the Iranian-born actor to drive her in his car.

Forging his own path: Last week, Sam posted a selfie to his Instagram Stories in which he was seen arriving at the Disney studio lot in LA to film scenes for season 2 of Hulu’s Doll Face
Meanwhile, Britney’s new attorney announced that he’s ‘aggressively’ trying to kick the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, off the conservatorship that’s been controlling her life for 13 years.
‘My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously toward removing Jamie Spears,’ Mathew Rosengart said outside Los Angeles Superior Court in downtown LA on Monday.
He praised Britney ‘for her courage and strength’ and thanked her fans for their ‘overwhelming support.’
At Monday’s court hearing, Jodi Montgomery, Britney’s temporary conservator for her personal, not financial, affairs, asked Judge Brenda Penny to charge the conservatorship for extra security she’s had to hire since receiving several death threats. The security charges are around $1,800 per day.
The judge tabled her request till another hearing next Monday.
New advocate: On July 4, Britney’s new attorney Mathew Rosengart praised the hitmaker for her ‘courage, passion, and humanity’ for speaking out in court and called on Jamie Spears to voluntarily step down from the conservatorship established in 2008
Last week Britney lashed out in an Instagram post at the ‘people closest’ to her who had ‘failed to help her in her time of need’.
She didn’t name names, saying, ‘they know who they are.’
But during a tearful phoned-in court appearance hours earlier, she told Judge Penny that she wants her father, 69, to be charged with abusing the conservatorship he’s been running since her much publicized breakdown in 2008.
‘I would like to charge my father with conservatorship abuse,’ she told the court in an emotional tirade. ‘I want to press charges against my father today. I want an investigation into my dad.’
In a repeat of the explosive testimony she gave during her June 23 court appearance, she described once again the trauma of her conservatorship and claimed her father and others involved in the conservatorship had threatened her,
‘There should be no threats to me at all, ever. I have serious abandonment issues,’ said the singer who added that her car keys, hair vitamins and coffee had been taken from her.
Fighting back tears, she told Judge Penny, ‘Ma’am, that’s not abuse, that’s just f****** cruelty. Excuse my language but it’s the truth.
‘I thought they were trying to kill me. If this is not abuse, I don’t know what is.’
Spears – who has two sons, Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14, by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline – called for her father to be banned from running her life and she told the court that she wants the conservatorship terminated without the need for a medical assessment.
But she said her priority was ousting her father from his role while allowing co-conservator Jodi Montgomery – who looks after the star’s personal, rather than financial needs – to remain until the conservatorship is ended
