Jack Quickenden was frightened he wouldn't be able to hold his baby son after getting an injury that resulted in him leaving Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

.

The 33-year-old welcomed his son, Leo, with his fiancée Sophie Church in February.

In scenes filmed before Jake's son was born, the star suffered an agonising shoulder injury when he was being pulled out of the ocean in a speedboat during a challenge.

The star ruptured his pectoral and his bicep, and he said that "basically both tendons were ripped off the bone."

After the horror injury, Jake's focus went straight to his unborn child.

“As soon as I’d got injured, I looked at it and thought ‘Right, here we go. I’ve got something else to get over now, I’ve got to get back to normal, I’ve got a baby on the way,'" he told PA News Agency.

The star said that if he hadn't had surgery on his arm, he would have only had around 10-15% strength in it.

Jake went on to announce the happy news of Leo's arrival on his Instagram page in February, by penning: "ITS A BOY ….. meet Leo Oliver Quickenden.
