Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey rock Rodarte gowns at the 2021 Met Gala

Sisters Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey paid homage to some Hollywood icons, with the help of a pair of sister designers.

The 23-year-old Chloe and 21-year-old Halle, who make up the R&B duo Chloe x Halle, hit the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday, wearing gowns from Rodarte designers and siblings Kate and Laura Mulleavy.  

Chloe’s look was more inspired by Hollywood starlets like Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly, while Halle’s was inspired by Tina Turner.

Chloe stepped out in a pristine white gown with a slit up the right leg, with a flowing white train behind her.

She had her hair pulled back in an up pony tail and wore pearl and diamond earrings and a sparkling necklace from Irene Neuwirth.

The singer completed her look in silver heels, with the entire ensemble styled by Max Ortega.

Her sister Halle had a few similarities to her sister’s look, such as the up ponytail while she also opted for Irene Neuwirth earrings.

Though she opted for a glittering pink fringed bodysuit, with a plunging v-neckline at the gala.

She completed her look with a pair of pink pumps as she walked the red carpet hand-in-hand with her sister.

The ball comes just a day after Chloe Bailey made her solo performing debut at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn.

It seems the siblings swapped color schemes for the back-to-back events, since Chloe took to the stage in a pink body suit and Halle attended the awards ceremony in a unique white gown.

Chloe’s performance marked the debut of her first solo single Have Mercy, which she recorded while her sister Halle was filming Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake.

Halle plays the iconic Disney princess Ariel in the studio’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, which is set for release on May 26, 2023.

She stars with Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula and Javier Bardem as King Triton.
