Chrishell Stause reacted to the news that her ex Justin Hartley remarried in May, just three months after they finalized their divorce earlier this year.
While the This Is Us actor and his new bride Sofia Pernas raised eyebrows with their race down the aisle, the 40-year-old Selling Sunset star made a point to stay optimistic as she thrives professionally as a real estate agent.
The topic of Hartley’s nuptials came up on a season four episode of Selling Sunset as she dined with costars Mary Fitzgerald and Heather Rae Young, who asked if she had heard the news.

‘I feel like the world heard that,’ the star told her costars, before switching to a confessional.
‘Justin is remarried to someone I know from back in the day, pretty well, and a lot of things made sense after finding that out.’
She continued: ‘I wish them the best. You know, I think that it actually, if anything, it felt good to know that. It felt like a little bit of closure.’
Stause also noted it helps that she is ‘in a better place’ with her career and feels ‘really empowered’ by becoming a ‘better version of herself.’

‘I feel like I found my voice, and I feel like there’s no anger left there because now I realize that’s not something I wanted for myself,’ the actress explained.
The performer, who is currently dating her boss Jason Oppenheim, added: ‘I mean, if he wants to have 50 wives, like, go live your best life because I really feel like I am.
‘Once you know something wasn’t right, whether it was your decision or not, it’s like, now… Out with the old, in with the new,’ she concluded.

Her beau recently spoke to Fox about their relationship, which he teased would be more heavily featured in season five.
‘[Getting together] didn’t feel weird to me. Sometimes I think things are going to be difficult, but again, we’re so natural with each other that it’s just easy,’ the identical twin gushed.
He continued: ‘I think the closer you are to somebody, the easier it is to film with them. So we’ve always had a really easy time filming together.’
While the cast was ‘extremely supportive’ of their transition from coworkers to romantic partners, he said ‘at least one agent that wasn’t supportive.’

In November 2019, Hartley filed for divorce from Stause, who claims to have been ‘blindsided’ by his decision, at the time.
The actor cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ when he filed for divorce, which surprised both fans and the reality star herself.
Stause would go on to file for dissolution of the marriage the following month and claim her ex-husband told her of his intent to file for divorce in a text, and that he had shared the news with her only 45 minutes before it was made public.

They reached a divorce settlement this past January but the details have not been made public.
After their breakup, Stause started dating Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Keo Motsepe, whom she met while competing on the show earlier this year.
By early March, she confirmed they had broken off the relationship and vowed to take a break from dating after calling Motsepe a habitual liar.
