Coleen Rooney has reportedly struck up a friendship with Georgina Rodriguez after reaching out to the girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Coleen, 35, is said to have offered the hand of friendship to the Argentinian beauty, 27, after she moved to Cheshire with her footballing husband.

Georgina relocated to England following Cristiano's stunning move back to Manchester United in the summer.

And reports suggest that the mother-of-one is keen to avoid the WAG lifestyle as she settles in the UK, but would be keen to meet up with Coleen, who is the wife of Cristiano's former teammate Wayne Rooney.

A source told The Sun : "Even though Wayne and Cristiano are no longer teammates they are good pals. Coleen has been helping Georgina with advice around settling in in Cheshire, because they have obviously spent years there.

"Coleen knows it can be a lot being with a footballer so wanted to reach out to show that she is there for her. They have swapped messages and hope to go out for a lunch date next month."

The friendship comes as Coleen gets ready to release extraordinary details into the life of her and her husband and their four kids.

The Amazon documentary titled Rooney is set to discuss Wayne's difficult upbringing as well as the sex scandals which have rocked the pair's marriage over the years.

A trailer for the sure-to-be hit documentary was released this week and saw Coleen say: "I knew groups that Wayne was hanging round with. Together, with alcohol, not good. I forgive him but it wasn’t acceptable."

And Wayne also admitted in the clip that he hoped people wouldn't remember him for his scandals, saying that there are bound to be mistakes made during a 17-year marriage.

"People still look at me in a different way. For me it’s important that people remember me for who I am rather than what I’ve done," the 35-year-old Derby County manager said.

In the footage of the documentary which is set for release in 2022, Wayne calls his actions towards Coleen as "unacceptable" while also revealing he wasn't the "nicest kid" growing up.

Other clips featured in the trailer show video footage from the pair's wedding day as well as them at home with their kids.

Wayne and Coleen have been childhood sweethearts since the age of 13. They married in 2008 and share children Kai, 11, Kay, eight, Kit, five, and three-year-old Cass together.
