Cristiano Ronaldo's Old Trafford return this afternoon saw him serenaded with a huge reception by the expectant Manchester United home crowd.
And it's currently going to plan thanks to that man himself. Ronaldo notched in first half stoppage time in today's Premier League game against Newcastle, when he tapped into the net from just a few yards out.
It has been a special day for the Portuguese, who was greeted by a huge cheer from those inside the ground early for this afternoon's game.
The 36-year-old raised his hands aloft to acknowledge the fans' applause before going on to undertake his warm-up duties. And even those were lapped up with every goal scored by Ronaldo in the warm up greeted by cheers from the home support.
Returning to the pitch again for the walk-out, his name was again being chanted loud and proud around the stands as scarf-swirling fans gave the iconic forward a proper welcome back to the Premier League.

And it was a typical poacher's finish that saw Ronaldo hand United the lead. They are currently into the second half.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained his reasoning behind the decision to throw Ronaldo straight into the starting XI for today's game.
When quizzed pre-match over that decision, the Norwegian said: “He has been good, trained well and everyone can see why he is still going.
Ronaldo toasts his first goal back at United
"He is so meticulous and professional in everything he does. Hopefully we get another five to ten per cent extra from him when he steps onto the pitch.
"The atmosphere is good around the club, we have started decent with seven points and everyone is excited by Cristiano’s homecoming.

"We want to see a real Man United performance and be the best version of ourselves. A balance between enjoying ourselves and working harder than the opponents."
Ronaldo's homecoming has seen a carnival atmosphere around the ground. Plenty of supporters have been spotted sporting replica shirts and scarfs commemorating the talisman's return.
United sealed his signing at the end of the summer transfer window, securing the return of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner who left the club in 2009.
Today's match is not being televised anywhere in the UK.
Sky Sports and BT Sport both opted against picking this particular match in their selections, chosen months ago.
As part of the long-standing Football Association decision to enforce a TV blackout between 2.45 and 5.15pm every Saturday, it means the only place able to provide live coverage of today's game will be BBC Radio 5Live.
