Norman Effman, another of Weinstein's attorneys, has reported said that Weinstein is being flown by a federal aircraft which is medically equipped to handle his many ailments.
Weinstein was indicted on 11 counts of sexual assault involving 5 different women after investigation that followed a number of women coming forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct or assault.
Weinstein's rep, Juda Engelmayer, has told TMZ that they had been trying to negotiate an agreement to waive the extradition but knew that in reality that it was on the cards at some point.
Engelmayer has said that he's disappointed that the LA County District Attorney had not waited for the judges ruling before looking to extradite Weintstein.
The disgraced movie producer's team had been fighting for him to receive the medical care he needs, while making sure he has a right to due process and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Meanwhile, Weinstein's ex wife, Georgina Chapman, has finalised her divorce from the disgraced movie mogul, according to online records.

The 45-year-old fashion designer split from Weinstein in 2017 and filed for divorce at that time.
They reportedly reached a settlement a year later and Weinstein agreed to pay her between $15 million and $20 million.
Georgina has now gone public with her new boyfriend, actor Adrien Brody, appearing with him on the red carpet as they attended a screening of The French Dispatch, during the Cannes Film Festival.
