FIFA 22 player ratings revealed: Lionel Messi highest with Robert Lewandowski just behind

EA Sports have unveiled the top 22 highest rated players in the upcoming FIFA 22 video game with Lionel Messi once again edging the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo to take the top spot.

Messi has retained his 93 rating from last year’s edition but there has been a change just behind him.

Ronaldo no longer sits second, having dropped from 92 to 91, with Lewandowski (92) taking his place.

The Manchester United man shares that score with four others, those being Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Jan Oblak.

Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante (90), Manchester City’s Ederson (89), Tottenham’s Harry Kane (90) and Heung-Min Son (89), and Liverpool’s Mo Salah (89), Virgil Van Dijk (89), Alisson, and Sadio Mane (89) are also among the top 22.

There are some notable omissions from the list with Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Bruno Fernandes nowhere to be seen.

PSG’s Lionel Messi is the highest rated player on the upcoming instalment of FIFA

FIFA 22 will be the latest game within EA’s popular FIFA video game franchise, which will be released worldwide on Friday, October 1, 2021, with the game available on Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia and PC.

It’s the first FIFA game to include HyperMotion technology, a new feature that EA say will deliver the most realistic, fluid and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia.

Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22 on next-gen or current-gen will get four days early access and will be able to play the game from Monday, September 27, 2021.

Robert Lewandowski is second with a rating of 92 while Cristiano Ronaldo is rated 91
