The loved-up couple have made things official and plan to marry some time next year.

Emma was one of the biggest stars of the 80s, playing fiery heiress Fallon Carrington Dolby in the hit US show.

And Simon quit the BBC earlier this year to join start-up channel GB News.

“Yes, it's true,” confirmed a delighted Simon, in an interview in MailOnline.

“We are both so happy, as are our children.

“We shall celebrate in the spring, when it's safe to share a party.”

London-born actress Emma and experienced broadcaster Simon live together in the Cotswolds.

Emma has been married three times before, making Simon her fourth husband at the age of 61. She also has two children from her previous marriages.

She twice famously declined offers to pose naked in Playboy magazine, instead preferring to focus on her acting.

Emma played the character Holly Sutton in the hit American daytime soap General Hospital, before finding worldwide fame in Dynasty.

She starred in the smash US show for roughly a decade and in its successful spin-off show The Colbys for two seasons.

In 2003 she made a cameo appearance in BBC show Holby City and also had a small run on the BBC daytime series Doctors.

Emma also played a drug addict in ITV police show The Bill.

The versatile performer has also starred on the stage in a number of theatrical productions, as well as having hosted a number of programmes.

Meanwhile, Simon, 59, has presented a string of BBC shows including BBC News, News at One, at Six, at Ten and the Weekend News.

He was married for nearly 14 years to Victoria Graham, but the pair sadly split in 2019 and his former wife reportedly embarked on a relationship with her BBC colleague Jon Gripton.

“It's been an incredibly sad time,” revealed Victoria about the split.

All smiles from the loved-up couple

“After years of living apart, failed fertility treatment and the death of my father, life changes.

She added: “Every time I see Simon on the TV I feel tremendously proud his career goes from strength to strength.

“We remain very good friends and still have two beautiful border terriers to love between us.”

Simon quit the BBC in March this year and announced he was moving to new channel GB News to present an afternoon show alongside Alexandra Phillips.

He said he wanted a new challenge and said he was “not a leftie BBC journalist”.
