Giorgio Chiellini has made some cutting comments regarding Cristiano Ronaldo after his former Juventus team-mate scored twice on his Manchester United debut.
The Red Devils' new No.7 swapped Turin for Manchester in a £12.9 million transfer which was finalised on deadline day and made his emotional homecoming at Old Trafford a day to remember for United supporters.
Ronaldo netted one goal either side of half-time, sandwiching Javier Manquillo's equaliser as opponents Newcastle threatened to rain on the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's parade.
Meanwhile, past employers Juventus have taken just one point from their opening three Serie A matches, twice surrendering leads and lost to Napoli on Saturday.
Fears are growing around the Bianconeri despite the return of manager Massimiliano Allegri but Chiellini believes someone else can take up the mantle.

The 37-year-old told DAZN as quoted by Football Italia : "When you have a world class player like Cristiano, you cannot help but use the team to play for him.
"We must be grateful to Cristiano for all he did during these years at Juventus, but we carry on.
"This will be Paulo Dybala’s team," he affirmed. "Over the last couple of years, he lowered his average goals because of Cristiano’s presence, but he is a key player for this team and that is recognised by everyone."
Chiellini was speaking after his side's 2-1 defeat to Napoli which followed a shock loss to Empoli before the international break.
That came after Udinese had come from two goals down to claim a draw against the Italian giants on the opening weekend last month.

Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 131 games for Juventus but failed to help the Old Lady to Champions League glory, the primary reason for his €100 million move from Real Madrid in 2018.
The five-time European Cup winner is now focussing on delivering top titles to Old Trafford and told club media following his second bow: "As I told you before, we have huge potential.
"We have fantastic players, a good coach, a good team. We need to build up the mentality to win the Premier League and even the Champions League," Ronaldo stated.
"So I am here to help the team. I think we have the 11 that are playing and those on the bench that can help as well. We have a good team, as I told you, and the spirit is there."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer raved about his new addition's performance, adding: "Cristiano senses the big moments and is ruthless. He is clinical. He has lifted the team and everyone around us.
"It's just perfect for him, you see what he's about, sensing the moment and smelling the danger but he's also evolved into a proper team player," he explained.
"He has developed into a fantastic goalscorer. He played a very good game, dropped in and linked the play well."
