Jackie Justice (Berry) was once a famous fighter now working as a maid.
But when her estranged six-year-old son returns to her life following the death of his father, Jackie decides to give fighting another shot.

The trailer shows Jackie learning about the death of her son’s father as the young boy sits outside her porch in the rain.
‘That’s your son,’ Jackie is told. ‘His daddy died.’
A shocked Jackie places her hand over her mouth in response to the news.
Following the re-entry of her son, Jackie seems to begin to seriously considering returning to fighting.

In the meanwhile, she is attempting to forge a relationship with her child.

Though she is no longer in her prime, Jackie makes an impression, smashing a jar of cherries across her opponent’s face before finishing him off with a head butt.

‘I got five other girls, all strong, faster, younger,’ a woman working in the studio says. ‘I’m sorry. I just don’t see it.’

Jackie rigorously trains in preparation for her big fight, and a fight nearly breaks out between her and her opponent Lady Killer at what appears to be their weigh-in.

Finally, the big day comes, and Jackie is seen throwing her competitor to the ground.
