Helen Mirren is now set to enchant as the hostess of the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament Of Houses quiz show.
The English actress, 76, will help celebrate the magical film franchise’s 20th anniversary with the previously announced four-part competition.
‘I knew someday I’d get a Harry Potter role, and I’m so pleased to take part in the 20-year film celebration,’ Mirren told The Hollywood Reporter.

‘The films inspired such enchantment and wonder for so many of us, and it will be such a treat to reignite that magic for the countless fans who continue to revel in this spellbinding world.’
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament Of Houses, which was announced in May, will air on Cartoon Network and TBS before making its way to HBO Max.
The show will see HP fans battle one another for the coveted title of House Cup champion.
A release date has yet-to-be announced, but will hopefully coincide with the anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’s release, which came out November 4, 2001.

The production will be helmed by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, in association with Warner Horizon and Robin Ashbrook and Yasmin Shackleton of theoldschool.
‘We’re creating an arena for the leagues of Harry Potter film fans to flex their knowledge of the Wizarding World, and there’s no one better than Dame Helen Mirren to add some British grandeur to this event that will debut across our WarnerMedia brands and platforms,’ said Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics.
This isn’t the only new Potter-related piece in the works, according to THR.
Back in January the outlet reported that HBO Max were working on a live-action Harry Potter television series.

Things were still in the earliest stages, according to sources, who said the studio was ‘engaged in multiple conversations with potential writers exploring various ideas that would bring the beloved property to television.’
The report also revealed: ‘Sources say broad ideas have been discussed as part of the early-stage exploratory meetings.’
But if there is an HP project, creators are keeping their lips sealed for now.
‘There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform,’ HBO Max and Warner Bros. told THR in January.
