He’s All That star Peyton Meyer announces his marriage and says he’s going to be a dad

Peyton Meyer has revealed he has married girlfriend Taela and the pair are expecting their first child together.

In what has been an eventful weekend for the actor, 22, he shared a series of sweet snaps for the couple's wedding day.

The He's All That star also announced the huge news at the same time that the duo were expecting their first child together; Taela – whose real name is Taylor Mae LaCour – also has a four-year-old son called River from a previous relationship.

The actor shared the pics from their special day along with an ultrasound image of the couple's first child together.

Taking to Instagram, Peyton told his 2.1 million followers: "Alright I have to get sappy with you for a minute. I had 100 million reasons to never get married.

"I always hated the concept of marriage. But all I needed was one reason to conquer all those reasons… And that one was you. I’m so grateful for our little family, it has changed my life forever. You changed me forever. I love you."

He concluded his post by saying: "To all the dads out there please send ya boy some tips."

Taela, who is a 24-year-old singer and songwriter, also shared the same pictures to her own Instagram page, writing: "Thank you for showing me the kind of love that I thought only existed in fairytales.

"Thank you for constantly reminding me of my worth and for making me feel like the most important, beautiful woman in the world.

"Thank you for being by my side through everything imaginable. I'm so grateful and excited to share this adventure with you forever. Even the really, really hard stuff is easy with you."

She sweetly ended the post: "You saved my life. I love you."

Peyton first became a household name thanks to his appearances as a teenager on the Disney Channel's Dog With a Blog. He then went on to land the role of Lucas Friar on the channel's hit show Girl Meets World.

He made several other guest appearances on a host of shows before starring as Jordan Van Draanen in Netflix's He's All That.

The rom-com was a gender-flipped remake of the 1999 version titled She's All That.
