Hugh’s sneak peek comes a month after he revealed an unlikely injury while rehearsing for his newest Broadway show.

In a video post on Instagram in October, the Aussie actor revealed he cut his nose with his boater hat.

At the time, The Greatest Showman star started the video by tossing around his boater hat as he practiced a choreographed move from the show.

A cut above the rest: Hugh recently suffered an unlikely injury while rehearsing for his Broadway musical

‘So, um, people have been making a couple of comments to me, like, “Have you had another biopsy on your nose? What happened to your nose?”‘ he said.

‘Well, the truth is, this thing is like a weapon and it hit me literally in the face and sliced me on the nose.

‘So, The Music Man may well turn into that James Bond movie. What was that character? Oddjob? Yeah, someone give me a little meme of Oddjob.’

Moving closer to the camera, Hugh showed off a cut across the bridge of his nose, before continuing to practice flipping his hat as he tossed it in the air.

‘Note to those seated in the first five or six rows at The Winter Garden Theater during my run in @musicmanbway… Please be on the lockout for a flying boater,’ he captioned the post.

The injury caused some alarm among his fans, with the Aussie actor having suffered a series of skin cancer scares in the past.

‘This thing is like a weapon and it hit me literally in the face and sliced me on the nose,’ he said of his hat

In August, Hugh revealed he had undergone a biopsy after discovering an ‘irregular’ spot on his nose, with the result coming back ‘inconclusive’.

Despite this, he said the doctors were ‘not that worried’, even though he’d been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma six times in the past.

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer, but is slow growing and curable if treated early.

The Music Man was written by Meredith Willson and it arrives on Broadway in December.
