Jake Quickenden targeted by vile trolls saying they hope his newborn baby dies

Jake Quickenden's newborn baby son is already being targeted by vile trolls just days after he was born.

The 32-year-old Dancing On Ice star welcomed baby Leo earlier this week with girlfriend Sophie Church.

And while the pair are trying to bask in newborn bliss, they have been left horrified by some of the messages they have received.

Speaking out about the disgusting trolling, Jake told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’ve had nasty tweets from people saying things like, ‘I hope the baby dies’.

"I get stupid s*** like that.

"If people start trolling Sophie or the baby a lot, that is something I will have to get my head around.

“Unfortunately that’s the world we live in. You can get 100,000 lovely messages, but you’ll remember one nasty one.

“You think, ‘Why would they say that?’. I understand if people don’t give a s**t about my life. But they don’t have to comment on it.”

Jake has been a target for trolls since finding fame on The X Factor in 2012.

He added: “We have to remember that trolling does bother a lot of people.

I’m one of the stronger ones and I’ve learned to deal with it.”

Jake announced the news that Leo had been born on Friday, alongside gorgeous photos of the family together.

He also shared an emotional post in which he praised his partner, calling her "amazing" and made promises to his new son.

He said: "'ITS A BOY….. meet Leo Oliver Quickenden.
