The model, 43, has teamed up with footballer John Barnes and Kerry Katona for the one off special Celebrity Trash Monsters: What’s Your Waste Size? broadcast on Channel 4.

The celebrities will be given a reality check of the current climate situation on the show and shown how much waste they produce in an average week.

Jodie told The Mirror of her outfit: ‘When I first saw it, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve certainly worn worse things down the catwalk.’

‘I have worn some outrageously ridiculous stuff especially when we start talking about Japanese designers and things like that. Really, really bonkers.

‘But it’s actually the rubbish within it that made it so bad. The stench of it was just horrific. You’re literally wearing your trash and trying to get on with your everyday. I became a walking cesspit, it was really full-on.’

Jodie told how during filming the celebrities were taken to a field in the countryside and were presented with their weekly load of rubbish.

She said she was ‘mortified’ at what her family produced and felt heartbroken that it was going to landfill and polluting our ‘beautiful planet’.

She has recently launched a new campaign with organisation Long Live The Local to support small pubs and breweries.

She took to Instagram in July, explaining: ‘I am very excited to launch a new campaign with @longlivelocal championing the vital role pubs play in the heart of communities in the UK.

‘The pub has long been a place to find that special connection; to fall in love, find a mentor or reconnect with long-lost friends.

She continued: ‘To celebrate these stories, Long Live The Local has renamed the Rose & Crown in Clapham Common to the Rose & Rory in honour of this couple who met there two years ago.

‘Brits rely on pubs to provide a warm, comforting and welcoming space to socialise. We can’t take them for granted so to help support our pubs and breweries thrive, head to the link in bio.’
