Kanye West 's girlfriend has ensured that the pair will stay together – in some way at least – forever.

Making a permanent mark on her skin, Chaney Jones, who is currently dating the rapper, has appeared to get his name inked onto he body.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday, the 24-year-old Kim Kardashian lookalike posted a sizzling snap, but fans were taken aback by one thing – Chaney appeared to have the rapper's new legal name "Ye" tattooed on her wrist.

It is not known when she got the ink, but it definitely looks as though things are getting serious for the couple.

Fans have been flooding social media with their own takes on the new development in Kanye's relationship.

One speculated on Twitter : "So where’s Kim and Kanye’s tats? I guess Pete and Chaney is taking this publicity stunt more seriously."

Earlier this year, in February, Kanye sparked romance rumours when he was seen out with the Instagram babe who resembles Ye's ex.

The model, who has more than 500,000 followers on Instagram, left fans completely taken aback by her Kardashian resemblance when she was first linked to the rapper.

Chaney is Ye's second love interest this year, who comes after the rapper dated Uncut Gems babe Julia Fox – hitting the headlines for their daring ensembles and passionate pairing.

Ye's girlfriend's new inking comes after it came to light that Kanye compared a dress that his ex Kim wore to an event to one worn by The Simpsons character Marge Simpson.

Speaking on The Kardashians, Kim, who is now dating Pete Davidson, could be heard saying: "I got to a point where I would just like ask him for advice for everything even down to what I wear?

"Even now I'm having like panic attacks like, 'What do I wear?'

"Kanye also 'styled me all for SNL, then at the Wall Street Journal Magazine, I won the Innovator Award for SKIMS.'

"I was like, how do I wear something that hasn't been pre-vetted first?" she told her sister Kourtney.

Kourtney then asked if it made her nervous thinking she wore a 'bad outfit,' and Kim replied: "So nervous."

Kim recalled how Kanye phoned her after the Wall Street Journal awards to mock her choice of dress.

She then added: "He told me my career is over and he showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar."
