Katie Price has responded to allegations she has split from fiancé Carl Woods.

The former glamour model was reported as telling pals she was 'newly single' at the National Television Awards on Thursday night, fuelling speculation her engagement with Carl had hit the rocks.

Katie and Carl had announced their engagement in April, with the car salesman popping the question with a diamond ring following their whirlwind romance.

However, just five months later the engagement was rumoured to be over with a guest at the NTAs alleging Katie boasted she'd dumped the car salesman.

Hours after the report came to light, Katie took to her social media to blast the claims.

Taking to her Instagram story, Katie wrote: "It's such a shame. Having such a good night these awful stories about me coming out.

"In fact I never went out and said I've dumped Carl. This is not true," she said.

"I was actually with my son Harvey. I wish people would leave me a Carl alone [sic],"she added.

Katie had attended the glitzy showbiz bash with her 19-year-old son after the pair were nominated for best Authored Documentary.

After walking the red carpet together, Katie's night ended in disappointment she lost out to Kate Garraway in the hard-fought category.

Katie and Harvey had been nominated for BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me while Kate went on to win the trophy for her one-off special Finding Derek, which focused on husband Derek Draper's battle with Covid.

After the ceremony, Katie was alleged to have headed to an afterparty where a fellow guest claimed to have heard her divulge that her year long romance with Carl was over.

The source told The Sun: "She was telling people, ‘I’m single, I’ve dumped him’ and was clearly focused on moving on.

"They had been constantly rowing, and she said she’d had enough.

"She said she was back living at her house in West Sussex even though it wasn’t fully done up yet. But she was adamant she wouldn’t go back to his place. As far as she’s concerned, it’s over," they claimed.

As well as clearing up her relationship status, Katie also took to Instagram today to reveal she was going into business with her sister Sophie, who had joined her at the NTAs.

As the pair sat by side by side to discuss their venture, the reality star insisted that people have her wrong and she's 'not the fiery one' in her family.

In the video filmed for new! magazine, Katie said of Sophie: "She's like my mum – no bulls**t! I am definitely not the fiery one in the family, my mum and sister are… the bulldogs!"

"You're organised, she gets things done and yeah, it's good. It's a good combination," Katie said turning to her sister.

Sophie then joked she used to steal her older sister's style when they were younger.

"I used to nick her shoes and my bunion used to make a dent in them!" she laughed.

Katie chimed in : "That's how I knew she'd nicked my shoes and then my bags would go missing, and my clothes, but luckily that's what sisters do."
