Larsa Pippen calls her divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen as ‘the longest in history’

Larsa Pippen has spoken out about finalizing her divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen last month, three years after after she filed to end their marriage in 2018.

While reflecting on their years going back-and-forth in court on Thursday’s episode of Getting Real with the Housewives’ podcast, the 47-year-old model admitted to asking herself, at times: ‘Is it ever gonna be over?’

‘It’s the longest divorce in history,’ the Real Housewives of Miami star mused. ‘I’m kind of glad that like, you know, we are where we are today.’

She added: ‘I’m kind of glad that like, you know, we are where we are today. The divorce is over, we’re still in a great place and our kids are older too.’

‘I wish my kids would have had, you know, a mom and dad in the same home. I felt guilty because I just, you know, I grew up with my mom and dad,’ Larsa told Us Weekly. 

The former best friend of Kim Kardashian continued: ‘I wanted my kids to grow up like that, but as far as our relationship, it couldn’t be better than it is right now. To be honest with you, we’re like, in such a great place. We love each other.’

‘We’re always gonna support each other. We support our kids, you know, we’re just in a really good place,’ she explained to the outlet.

Additionally, she said she was ‘really proud’ of how she and Scottie ‘navigated through this divorce’ and other obstacles. 

He first filed for divorce in 2016, shortly before rekindling until she filed to end their marriage at the end of 2018.

On January 6, lawyer David J. Glass confirmed the divorce was finalized to Us Weekly.

‘I can confirm that Scottie and Larsa Pippen are now divorced, and that the divorce was finalized on December 15, 2021,’ Glass said. ‘All issues were resolved amicably. The parties are now focusing [on] successfully co-parenting their remaining minor children.’ 

Larsa in December of 2019 told the outlet that she and Scottie remained focused on co-parenting in the wake of their split, describing their relationship as ‘best friends.’

‘Our kids are amazing, and I feel like we both parent the same way,’ she told the outlet. ‘We’re really traditional in the way we raise our children. That’s really important.

‘We are obsessed with our kids. Scottie and I are both the same in a lot of ways. Family always comes first.’

According to The Blast, details of the financial settlement the former couple made were kept confidential.
