Love Island alum Malin Andersson has paid tribute to her late mother on the fourth anniversary of her passing.

The 29-year-old, who appeared on the second series of the ITV2 dating show, had lost both of her parents by her mid-twenties – with both understood to died of cancer.

Her father is said to have died whilst she was still a baby, with her mum sadly passing away on November 25 in 2017 – exactly four years ago today.

Paying tribute in a post on Instagram earlier, Malin – whose newborn daughter Consy passed away at just four weeks old in 2019 – said she can feel her loved ones around her.

Sharing a photo of herself and her mum, she wrote: "This very day 4 years ago. Unrecognisable at the end, but still the same soul and bright personality. The strength never ceased to amaze me."

The reality TV star said the experience "changed [her] forever" and thanked her sister for keeping her "sane at times," commenting: "Your strength is admirable too."

And drectly addressing her late mum, she wrote: "Hope it's good wherever you are with Dad and baby Consy. I can feel you all with me when I’m loneliest the most."

Malin added: "If you're grieving your parents I salute you. The pain is quite like no other. For sure it's damaged my soul but strengthened it at the same time."

She concluded the post by stating: "I love you Mumma. RIP."

Moving forward with her life, Malin said earlier this year that she was starting her "next chapter" and "new beginning" – announcing she was expecting a baby with her partner.

She wrote: "I can't describe to you all how I feel writing this. Everything I've ever wanted, everything I visualised."
