26 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

Martial goes down under a challenge in the box – no penalty!

Was there a touch?! Martial looks bemused… went down a tad easily in my opinion, for what it’s worth.

Check complete, no penalty… Martial has his shirt tugged and the Frenchman goes down as a result…

21 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

Close for West Brom!

Karlan Grant is found in behind and his shot takes a deflection off Lindelof and trickles just wide!

At the subsequent corner, ex-Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic gets his head to it but can’t direct it goalwards.

16 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

Excellent save by Johnstone!

United pounce on a West Brom error on half-way and they break with Rashford on the left. His ball to the back post finds Bruno Fernandes whose touch lays it on a plate for Martial – his shot is strong but Johnstone does brilliantly down low to his left to keep it out!

Pressure building for United here…

12 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

Nice opening for Martial down the right but his cross just evades Marcus Rashford in the middle and the visitors clear before Fred can reach the ball!

7 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

United dominating possession but no accurate penetration in the final third thus far…

2 mins: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

Early save for Sam Johnstone to make in goal for West Brom!

Juan Mata’s free-kick finds Anthony Martial at the near-post and his glancing header has to be diverted away from goal by ex-United youth team player Johnstone, diving to his right.

KICK-OFF: Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

United, in their usual red, get us underway against a West Brom side in their changed strip of green and white stripes.

A reminder of the teams!

Man Utd: De Gea, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Alex Telles, Matic, Fred, Mata, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Martial

West Brom: Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Ivanovic, Townsend, Matheus Pereira, Sawyers, Gallagher, Diangana, Ahearne-Grant

Kick-off is fast approaching at Old Trafford!

Slaven Bilic, speaking to BT Sport:

On changes: Ivanovic and Pereira are back, but Jake Livermore and Kieran Gibbs tested positive and we had a couple of players who have returned to training after testing positive and they are on the bench.

On today’s game: The urgency is continue to play the way we did against Spurs. Of course, we’re playing Man Utd. They’re a strong team. But every game is a big opportunity at this stage of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to BT Sport:

On Pogba: ‘Paul got an ankle injury against Sweden. He tried to finish the training session, but it got worse and worse. Hopefully he’ll be fit for Tuesday.

On Telles: ‘It’s a great chance for him. He’s been waiting a long time to get his chance. He’s got loads of quality that we certainly will get to see here at Old Trafford.

On home form: It’s concerning not to win games. The best game we’ve had was at home with the 5-0 win against Leipzig.

West Brom have won three of their last five away league games against Man Utd (D1 L1), including their last such visit in April 2018 (1-0).

The Baggies had won just one of their last 31 league visits to face Man Utd prior to this run.

Paul Pogba aggravated an injury on international duty in training yesterday so misses out today against West Brom.

Slaven Bilić has confirmed Jake Livermore and Kieran Gibbs will miss today’s game after testing positive for COVID-19.

The United players have arrived at Old Trafford!

💼 Arriving for business.
