She describes her TikTok success as a result of what inspires her and what she finds interesting.

“My TikTok account is centred around Pop culture, conspiracy theories, breaking news, mysteries, and True Crime, TikTok has something for everyone.”

The bubbly star has always looked up to other creators, but never felt confident enough, until a personal matter pushed Megan to follow through on her aspirations, and think “life is too short, it’s now or never”, which led her to TikTok.

Megan shared: “From a young age, I’ve always been interested in mysteries, and true crime, I have always been fascinated by it, and loved Kendall Raye. I love raising awareness for missing person cases, so many people vanish without a trace, TikTok is truly a great platform.”

“I always looked up to other YouTubers, it seemed so fun, I always wanted to do it and never had the confidence until recently, I didn’t believe in myself going back, I felt like life was too short, we have all realised that with the pandemic. You don’t know until you try. A lot of people underestimate themselves”, she says.

The star believes in the power of manifestation and the law of attraction: “I wrote in my journal 'thank you so much for 5000 followers, I’m so grateful for my 5000 followers', I thought it was very ambitious, but here I am and I’ve built a following.”

Megan previously marked a milestone achievement of 100k followers, achieving success with her Prince Phillip video 'What’s going on with Prince Philip', which went viral and has 2.2 million views.

Megan runs her YouTube channel with her boyfriend and co-host Jordan, to accompany her TikTok, their YouTube content is True Crime, and mysteries mixed with some lifestyle.

She proudly shares the progress they have made since the channel’s inception: “We had sixty followers on it at the start of the year, and have gained 1.5k. We’re growing.”

Many content creators use their accounts when they get a big following to branch out into other ventures.

Megan’s content stands out in the Irish market, focusing on fun conspiracy, true crime cases, it sets out to raise awareness on cold cases such as The Milk Carton Kids, Kristin Smart’s case, and Ireland’s vanishing triangle, which has been forgotten or lost in the public eye.

Megan discussed the importance of fact-checking sources, so viewers can go check out topics after watching her videos.

She encourages anyone watching her content to think outside the box, question things and research more to make an informed opinion.

Long-term goals

Megan expressed she has long-term plans with her content and would love to have her own podcast, or true crime TV show centred around investigations into cold cases.

“I would love to continue growing my platforms, I would love to have a TV show, I’d love to work with charities to do with missing people, domestic violence, philanthropy, it’s exciting to have a platform, but I don’t want to waste the chance to help others. There are people that have lost people, and raising awareness on a missing person case, could help the case, but I always strive to fact-check too.

“I really want to carry on doing what I love, TikTok, YouTube, start my own podcast. I trust the universe, I’m excited about what the future holds, I’d even love to have my own tv show, it would be a dream,” she said.

The ambitious creator shared who inspires her, and her advice for any aspiring content creators.

“I look up to Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga, they have been through a lot, Britney has just got out of her conservatorship, they’re both strong women, I take a lot of inspiration from them. I also take inspiration from the people I surround myself with, everyone has their story, everyone has a story of how they overcame something.

“I would advise anyone that wants to, to just go for it, you need to have a thick skin, it’s the internet, you’re going get negative things, but try focus on the positive, it’s not going to be all sunshine and roses.”, she said.
