Piers Morgan has become embroiled in a war of words with Nicki Minaj as he branded her the "rudest little madam".

It comes as the former GMB host, 56, waded into her antivaxx row with Boris Johnson and Chris Whitty.

The journalist slammed the rapper, 38, and said that her comments "will cost lives". He also added that she had been one of the "rudest" people he had ever met.

However, Nicki denied that she had ever met him – to which Piers reminded her that they met when she appeared as a guest act on America's Got Talent and she had refused to say hello to his young sons.

Earlier today, England's Chief Medical Officer blasted anti-vaxxers who "should be ashamed" in a powerful response to evidence-free "myths" being made about the jab.

Piers branded Nicki 'rude'

Just last night, Nicki sparked backlash after she revealed she had refused to get vaccinated to attend the Met Gala.

She further shocked fans by peddling conspiracy theories about the vaccine, later sharing a bizarre story about her "cousin's friend" allegedly having a reaction to the vaccine.

This led to the hitmaker tweeting at both the CMO and prime minister as she mocked their comments.

Piers went onto tweet his own opinion about Whitty's comments, writing: "Professor Whitty beefing with the ghastly @NICKIMINAJ (one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met) is not the breaking news that I expected today – but it’s most welcome. She’s peddling lies that will cost lives."

Nicki quote tweeted Piers and wrote back: "Sir I’ve never met you. I know… we all look alike. “Rudest little madam”. I like it. Has a special ring to it. Thanks Pierce. Love the accent. I’d love to come chat. Scones. Tea. Clown nose & big red shoes for you. Lmk babe."

Yet Piers hit back: "Madam, we met on @AGT when you appeared as a guest act – but you refused to say hello to my three young sons because you were ‘too busy’. Oh, and it’s ‘Piers’ – I know, we Brit names all sound alike."

Nicki furiously lashed back and told him to "stop fkng lying".

She raged: "Stop fkng lying. I never turn down pics with kids. If a middle person told you that, they were out of line. don’t blame me you stupid piece of s***."

The singer added: "Wait AGT? What’s that y’all ? I was on American Idol who TF."

Nicki continued to rant: "He gon make me go live. Chiiiiileeee. Does he have an ig. I wanna go live with him. ENOUGH UGLY! @pierce."

Nicki mocked the PM and CMO on Twitter

But a fan shared a video of Nicki performing on stage at AGT and wrote: "No remember you guest performed Where Them Girls At with Flo Rida and David Ghetta on America’s Got Talent in 2011 … not you forgot."

Yet Nicki tweeted back: "That's not me."

After incorrectly tagging twitter user David Pierce with @pierce, they wrote: "I get incorrectly tagged in a lot of wrong tweets but this one is going to be … particularly bad."

The rapper quote tweeted their comment and wrote: "Oops sir."
