Erling Haaland's move to Manchester City has been seen by many as a bargain, with the release clause in his contract meaning he has cost far less than would have been expected.
The Norwegian will link up with City at the end of the season following a two year spell at Borussia Dortmund. But while the £51.1million City are paying Dortmund appears to be cut-price, it does actually make him one of the 10 most expensive Bundesliga signings in Premier League history.
Leading the way is Jadon Sancho, who was bought for £73million by Manchester United from Dortmund last year. That deal completed a long-running saga, with United having seen their attempts to sign Sancho in 2020 rebuffed.

The £73m fixed transfer fee immediately shot him to the top of the list of the most expensive Bundesliga to Premier League transfers. Sancho has struggled to live up to that billing though, scoring just five goals and notching only three assists in all competitions this season.
Close behind him in the top 10 is Kai Havertz, who joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in September 2020 for £71m. For a time that made him the most expensive outfielder in the club's history, before Romelu Lukaku was signed last summer.
Initially, Havertz found it difficult to adapt to the Premier League from playing in the Bundesliga. But he has developed a penchant for scoring important goals, including the winner in last season's Champions League final.

Chelsea feature heavily in the top 10 list, with the player who is number three also being a Blues signing. That man is Christian Pulisic, who was bought in 2019 for £58m, making him the most expensive North American of all time.
They signed Pulisic from Dortmund, who have benefitted more than any other club from Premier League money. The Black and Yellow also received £56m when Arsenal signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2018, putting him at number four.
Just behind Aubameyang is Kevin de Bruyne, who was signed for £55m by Manchester City back in 2015. Next comes Keita, who Liverpool paid £52.75m to RB Leipzig for.

Haaland is just behind the Liverpool star and will join De Bruyne at the Etihad Stadium following the end of the current campaign. The Norwegian will cost around £2m less than Keita with City having activated his release clause.
Leipzig saw Chelsea activate Timo Werner's release clause soon after, with his £47.5m fee taking him to number eight on the list. So far, that deal has not worked out as hoped, with Werner struggling in the English top-flight.
Werner's release clause ensured that he cost £1m more than the man at number nine. That player is Leroy Sane, who Manchester City bought for a fee totaling £46.6m from Schalke in 2016.
City sold Sane for an intial £38m four years later, with the winger joining Bayern Munich. Sebastian Haller, who is at number 10, was also sold after West Ham had paid £45m to Eintracht Frankfurt, with the striker spending just two years in the Premier League.
