Ralf Rangnick says he has resolved his differences with Anthony Martial after accusing the striker of refusing to play for Manchester United.

.

Interim boss Rangnick claimed Martial – who wants to leave this month – refused to travel with the United squad for Saturday's 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.

Martial took to Instagram to dispute Rangnick's version of events, claiming he had never refused to play for United.

Ahead of United's rearranged trip to Brentford tomorrow, Rangnick said he had spoken with Martial to clear up the matter – but refused to say if he will travel with the squad to London.

Anthony Martial has come to an agreement with Ralf Rangnick

“I'm here now for six weeks, and all the things that needed to be said I said after the press conference,” said Rangnick.

“I had a conversation with him on Sunday and said how I saw the whole situation.

“He didn't train yesterday and the day before yesterday.

“He will probably train today and then I will take the decision if he is nominated or not and then take the decision.”

Rangnick said Cristiano Ronaldo, who has missed United's last two game, and Marcus Rashford, who missed the Premier League clash at Villa, will travel for tomorrow's game.

“Cristiano and Marcus were training yesterday, so I suppose they will be training today,” said Rangnick.

“But in the press conference before Villa, I was convinced Cristiano would be ready and Marcus too, so we'll have to wait. I think they both could be available.

“Paul Pogba had his first day of training with the whole group and he showed what an extraordinary player he could be.

“He won't be available for the two games this week, but after the break, against Middlesborough and Burnley, he could be.”

Pogba is out of contract this summer and set to leave, after refusing to sign a new deal. Despite that, Rangnick said: “I'm not negotiating future contracts with players.

“But what you could see is he's present, physically and mentally, and what I saw is very promising.”
