RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley addresses her social media break as she returns to Instagram

Dorit Kemsely had a tough 2021

.

Referring to her online absence Dorit added: "*I’ll be back to posting soon, I promise. I just needed some time away to focus on family and myself and all things important to me; and it’s been very helpful and healthy for me. Love you all(well most of you, the nice ones anyway!) lol!!"

The fashion-forward star's post was met with a flurry of support from her followers, including Paris Hilton's aunt Kyle who replied: "Aww, thank you. Love you," followed by three heart emojis.

Dorit had a tough time in 2021 after it was revealed the home she shared with kids Jagger, 7, Phoenix, 5 and husband Paul 'PK' Kemsley had been ransacked.

The fashionista said she needed a break from social media

The footage of the incident, which was released by the Los Angeles Police Department, showed two people dressed in hoodies and face coverings breaking and entering into the property after sliding through a glass window.

Terrifyingly for Dorit, she was at home when the burglars broke in.

“[The burglars] were surprised to see me at home… When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, ‘Who else is in the home?'", Dorit told “Extra” correspondent and former Real Housewives co-star Teddi Mellencamp in November.

Dorit said her RHOBH co-stars had been 'beyond supportive' following the burglary

"“There was someone else who said, ‘Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,’ and all I could think of [was], ‘I have to save those babies.’ I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their life."

Dorit explained she 'fought for her life' and mercifully her children didn't wake up or and knew nothing of the trauma.

However she did reveal she'd suffered a number of panic attacks after the incident.

Following the burglary, Dorit praised her co-stars, who she said had been "beyond supportive" explaining: “They’re with me tracking this process, and it’s going to be a process, a long one — that, I know.”
