It's officially been six years since one of the most iconic moments in Celebrity Big Brother history, when Tiffany Pollard mistook 'David's dead' for the wrong David.

.

While the world was mourning the death of music icon David Bowie, the celebrities had been forced to live together for weeks with no news from the outside world.

Housemate Angie Bowie confided in Tiffany Pollard that her ex husband Bowie had died.

They were just a week into the programme when the news struck and things kicked off like never before.

Viewers at the time didn't know what they were in for but the clip has since gone on to be viral and is a fan favourite moment to this day.

Angie was told about the singer's passing and was understandably visibly upset.

She was told what had happened in the diary room where she collected her thoughts and decided to tell the other housemates, however in hindsight she maybe should've been a bit more clear with exactly who had passed away.

Angie simply told Tiffany 'David's dead' and asked her to not tell anyone but emotion took over and she ran through the house shouting the sad news everywhere.

But the thing is, Tiffany thought it was David Gest, who was also a housemate at the time who had passed away.

Tiffany said: "I can’t keep it a secret, she told me not to tell anybody. He told me something and I have to say it. I’m not able to not say anything."

David Gest had been taken unwell just before so was in bed resting which meant Tiffany assumed the worst for him.

She eventually made her way to the bedroom to check on David but found him just as she left him, in bed and alive.

David didn't seem too phased amongst the chaos as he simply pulled the duvet over his face and carried on resting.

But Tiffany was fuming, unsure why Angie would tell her this news if it wasn't true, still unaware it was Angie's ex who had died instead.

EastEnders actor John Partridge eventually calmed the whole house down as he explained: "There’s nothing to freak out about, Angie’s had some news, she’s misunderstood the name, that’s all I’m going to say."

However, David Gest did then sadly pass away later in the same year, on April 12th 2016.

David's body was discovered in a London Hotel room after he suffered from a stroke.

But before this, Tiffany decided to cash in on the unfortunate Big Brother misunderstanding by selling ‘David’s Dead’ T-shirts before they suddenly took on an awful new meaning when he really did pass away.

She then stopped anymore T-shirts from selling.

David was due to set off on the 'David Gest is not Dead tour!' but tragically died just months after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house.
