Stacey Solomon shared a sweet photo of Rex proudly standing in front of the shed they are transforming into Santa's grotto for Christmas.

The Loose Women panelist enjoyed one-on-one time with her son Rex as they renovated the outbuilding together.

The mum-of-four proudly displayed her DIY skills as she climbed a ladder and nailed white felt to the roof of her garden cabin.

Not afraid to get his hands dirty, little Rex helped his mum collect and roll logs to line the grotto-to-be.

"Me and Rex carried on with project grotto today we cleared the leaves from the roof and the guttering with a stick. I forgot how satisfying cleaning the guttering is," she wrote on Instagram with laughing-crying emojis.

Stacey and Rex have been working on transforming the garden shed into a Santas grotto

Wearing a white fleece with black smiley faces dotted across and a comfy pair of leggings, Stacey held Rex up so he could get rid of the leaves.

Taking casual to a whole new level, the TV star wore a pair of white slippers as she worked away in the garden.

"It's a working progress but I'm loving slowly making it with Rex. His love for building and making things just makes my heart burst."

She shared a sweet snap of Rex standing proudly in front of the blue shed and said: "We are getting there pickle.. That face though! Anything for that face seeing how excited he gets is everything.

"We need to get some more snow because we ran out and next job will be window decorations and lights."

The shed was originally a worn-out black, so she and Rex gave it a lick of electric blue paint.

At the time she said: "We only managed the doors today. It's going to take a little while. But we will get there… one section at a time!

"It was just nice to be just me and Rex for a few minutes doing our favourite things. It doesn't look very exciting now but I promise when we've finished it will be a little grotto!"

She shared another video of Rex helping make a wreath to hang on the front door of their family home that they've lovingly named 'Pickle Cottage'.

She wrote: "She’s Here. Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy’s birthday. Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter… We all love you more than you could ever imagine. Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love.

"Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you."
