It was also the best premiere night performance for any HBO original series since the launch of HBO Max in May 2020.

The 1.4 million viewers marked a 21% increase over the Season 2 finale that aired in October 2019 and 13% over the Season 2 premiere in August 2019.

The Season 3 premiere was also up a whopping 39% over the series premiere episode that aired in June 2018.

The pay cable network revealed they hit an all-time high in Succession viewership in September, with the Season 3 premiere marking a new daily high as well.
