Tanguy Ndombele admits he spoke to Paul Pogba about his difficulties with Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester United star was signed by the Special One and played under him for just over two years at Old Trafford.
Mourinho, hailed for his man management earlier in his career, went public with his criticism of certain players.
He was unable to get the best out of Pogba and the duo were seen having what looked to be a difference of opinion leading up to Mourinho's sacking.
Ndombele is now being managed by the 58-year-old and has also received public criticism.
The former Lyon man though doesn't see parallels between his experience and those of his compatriot.

Eric Dier disagrees with Jose Mourinho's theory for his poor Tottenham form
"We spoke, we spoke about that but really quickly," he told football.london.
"It wasn't like he gave me any advice because our situations were completely different.
"It's true he worked with Mourinho but my own experiences weren't the same and each relationship has its own characteristics."
Ndombele has been a player transformed this season having performed inconsistently during his first year at the club.
The 24-year-old doesn't find Mourinho's style at all abrasive and instead thinks it is on each individual to take him in the right way.
"If you know Jose Mourinho then you understand how he behaves," he added.
Tanguy Ndombele has responded well to the Tottenham boss
"I wouldn’t call it confrontation, but he’s just got a certain way of sending his messages and it actually all depends on how you receive those messages he sends."
Mourinho was particularly scathing after a 1-1 draw at Burnley back in March of last year.
He claimed that is team played "without a midfield" and Ndombele concedes it was challenging to hear such things.
"Burnley wasn't the hardest moment for me," he added.
"I think the hardest moment was the restart [after lockdown] but sure it wasn't a nice time for me, the match against Burnley.
"The coach came out and said what he had to say afterwards and it's not nice to hear those things."
