TikTok star Rory Teasley has been found dead at 28, with police suspecting he was murdered.

It's alleged that his boyfriend strangled him after an argument, Oakland County Sheriff's Office said in a statement to Insider.

The publication reports officers were called to an apartment in Pontiac, Michican on Thursday night by Rory's boyfriend Docquen Jovo Watkins, who said they had been involved in an argument.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Rory unconscious and not breathing.

The social media star was taken to hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead.

Watkins was charged with homicide after being booked at the Oakland County Jail on Friday. He is being held without bond and has not yet been assigned an attorney.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for January 18 and a preliminary examination is scheduled for January 25.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said: "We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements.

"There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable."

Police said Rory and his boyfriend had been together for 10 years.
