Timo Werner will be assessing his future this summer what with wholesale changes on the cards at Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel delivered Champions League success for the Blues in his first season after taking the reins from Frank Lampard.
Roman Abramovich was very impressed with what he saw from the young German manager and as a result, has vowed to back him financially in this summer's transfer window.
Tuchel persisted with compatriot Timo Werner up top for Chelsea last season, despite the Germany international flattering to deceive, scoring only six times in the Premier League.
But he is targetting a new centre-forward this summer with Erling Haaland at the top of his transfer wishlist.
Timo Werner will be assessing his future
Chelsea have already offered either one of Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi plus cash to Borussia Dortmund in a bid to secure Haaland's signature.
BVB have turned down their initial approach for the £135million-rated striker and are keen to keep him at the club for at least one more season after agreeing to sell Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
Chelsea prioritising a new striker this summer suggests Werner may not have a future at Stamford Bridge.
Werner signed for Chelsea last summer in a deal worth £50million, penning a five-year contract.

But as aforementioned, Werner struggled to adapt to the Premier League in his debut campaign and may be considering his options both in England and abroad.
Werner was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool before he completed a transfer to Chelsea.
The German was expected to link up with compatriot Jurgen Klopp, but in the end joined Chelsea, with Liverpool snapping up Portugual international Diogo Jota from Wolves.
Before Werner joined Chelsea, former Liverpool winger John Barnes discussed the saga and admitted that the German even considering a move to Stamford Bridge meant he failed Klopp's acid test.

Barnes told BonusCodeBets in 2020: "[Liverpool] want players that want to play for Liverpool. I'm sure a lot of people were after [Virgil] van Dijk, but he wanted to come to Liverpool.
"If they don't get a move on and Manchester City,Arsenal or Chelsea come in for him and he decides to go there, that's not the sort of player you want anyway.
"Because he'll just go where they're going to pay him more money or he wasn't that committed to wanting to come to play for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

"I don't think they have to get a move on, they didn't get a move on with Van Dijk or Alisson and a lot of people wanted them to, it's because they wanted to come. This is a test to see if he really wants to come and play for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool."
It is very unlikely that Klopp will be looking to offer Werner an escape route this summer should Chelsea succeed in landing Haaland.
Liverpool are expected to tie down Mohamed Salah to a new contract this month and the Anfield club are now keeping tabs on former Arsenal ace Donyell Malen.
