Not forgotten: Tori Spelling shared a throwback photo with her former costar, Luke Perry, who would have celebrated his 54th birthday on Monday

Spelling began her message by expressing that her former costar, who passed away in 2019 after suffering a massive stroke, was well remembered and that he made a considerable impact on her life.

‘You are missed so much. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you,’ she wrote.

The actress went on to discuss her early days in the entertainment industry and pointed out that Perry stood out from many of his counterparts by treating her with respect on and off set.

‘I remember meeting you as a young insecure teen girl. You were the first boy to ever make me feel worth as a human, a female , and a comedienne,’ she recalled.

Spelling then described an incident when her late friend defended her from one of her former partners who had made a habit of mistreating her during their time together.

Strong feelings: The actress also wrote a lengthy tribute to her late costar in her post’s caption and expressed that ‘not a day goes by that I don’t think about you’; they are seen in 2005

Supportive: She also recalled that Perry once ‘talked me thru the most insecure moments of a teen angst girls life’ after he took her side during an argument; they are seen with Jason Priestley and Jennie Garth in 2005

She noted that Perry ‘went to brawl literally for me when I was in a verbally abusive relationship and sat and talked me thru the most insecure moments of a teen angst girls life.’

The performer was previously romantically involved with figures such as Julian Lennon, Nick Savalas and her former costar Brian Austin Green.

The actress made a point of describing Perry’s admirable qualities in detail and praising his affable nature.

‘You had a way of making every single human feel confident, heard, and special the minute they met you. Your energy was pure selfless love. A giver in this ungiving life. Your loving nature carried thru decades,’ she wrote.

Spelling also remarked that she ‘loved getting texts and calls asking about my kids and always ending with “Uncle Luke loves them”.’

The performer went on to describe Perry’s parenting skills and how the late actor was very devoted to the well-being of his children.

Great dad: Spelling also spoke about how Perry was a devoted father to his two children and recalled that he often told others about his kids’ achievements

‘As a parent you defined hands on. Always putting Jack and Sophie first. Loved showing off pics of Jack wrestling and the purses and pieces Sophie designed and crafted. Always saying T you and Soph would hit it off DIY’ing together,’ she noted.

The Scary Movie 2 actress then spoke about how she missed being able to spend more time with her late castmate in professional and informal settings.

‘2 regrets I have. We never had that Taco Tuesday family night at your house {I heard your tacos were the best} and that I couldn’t fulfill your vision and dream of our cast doing that horror film you were so passionate about making with them,’ she noted.

Spelling concluded her message by expressing that Perry was well-loved by those who knew him and that his performances would be viewed for years after his passing.

‘Today, and everyday we all miss you and hold you in our hearts. Everyone does. You made quite the impression on this lifetime Lukey,’ she remarked.
