He told her to give her ‘beautiful hand’ and then put the ring on her finger.

Raquel looked at the fireworks and couldn’t believe what was happening. James had just told her that he planned this weekend of bringing all their friends out to Palm Springs to recreate Coachella just for Raquel and said he was calling it Rachella.

‘You make me the happiest man in the world Raquel,’ James said as they kissed.

‘I love you so much of course I will marry you,’ she replied.

Totally shocked: Raquel, 26, was stunned and said, ‘Are you serious?’

‘You said yes. Oh my God,’ said James.

James and Tom Sandoval, 38, brought all their friends to the Coachella polo field for the proposal. When they got out of the car, there were balloons, fire dancers, margarita bar, taco bar and a silk acrobatic performer.

James first manned the DJ stand wearing a sequined jacket as everyone danced.

In the season nine episode titled ‘Rachella’ no one had any idea that the weekend escape to Palm Springs was just a ruse so James could propose to Raquel.

As part of the planned activities, they held a Pickleball tournament where everyone dressed up in the theme of 1980’s Wimbledon. Despite the fact that Brock Davies, 30 went to the court before everyone else to practice, the final players left in the competition were Lala’s husband Randall Emmett, 50, and Tom Schwartz, 38. Randall ended up winning the entire competition.

The group of friends also played a game of twisted Jenga with dares. James picked up one of the blocks and on the back it said ‘out of the group who would you f***? Marry? Kill?’ He said he would marry Raquel because she was the love of his life and as for the other part he said ‘this I think happened with one other person before,’ said James referring to his hook up and relationship with Lala Kent, 31.

Raquel said in a confessional that she does try to forget that Lala and James slept with each other. She said it made her insecure.

Scheana Shay, 36, later told her boyfriend Brock that she was upset that he insisted on going out early to practice pickleball leaving her mother Erika to take care of their child on her mother’s birthday. Scheana brought her mother to help them and Brock told her they should hire organized help.

‘I hate when you and my Mom butt heads,’ she said to Brock. ‘It literally hurts my soul.’

Katie Maloney-Schwartz, 34, during the episode also told her husband Tom Schwartz, 38, that she thought he let his business partner Tom Sandoval, 38, steamroll him on making decisions. Schwartz told her she was wrong and that he was making moves.

‘Tom’s (Sandoval) making moves and you are just sitting there going ”okay sure”,’ Katie said.

Sandoval later overheard them talking about him and stepped in. Schwartz tried to shift the blame to Katie.

‘I don’t want you to feel steamrolled ever,’ said Sandoval, who later snuck out to secretly help James set up the Coachella-themed party for his proposal to Raquel.

When most of the group was enjoying a pool party, Schaeana and Brock brought their baby Summer Ray to meet Lala and Randall’s baby Ocean. Brock then revealed to them that he had been married before and had two kids. He said he had his first child when he was 20 years old. He said it was a bad break up and that he hadn’t seen his kids in four years and has had no contact with them.

Lala was shocked. He told her that his ex cut off contact with him and his whole family.
