Wayne Rooney admitted he punched holes in every door of a rented house after he had an argument with Coleen when he was 18.

He was on the phone with his now-wife when they had a disagreement.

The 35-year-old's teammate Rio Ferdinand found the footie star on the floor after he got his foot stuck and fell over trying to kick a door.

"I was going on a night out with the lads so I phoned Coleen. I think she was in Liverpool at the time," he revealed. "You know when you’re that age, you argue a lot.

"Anyway, she's constantly going on. So I'm in this rented house and I've gone round every door in the house and punched a hole in it."

"And then I lost my head again and I completely smashed the door. Then Rio came round," he added to boxer Tony Bellew in his podcast Tony Bellew Is Angry.

Coleen was said to have been left feeling devastated after the pictures came out, but insiders say she's determined to move past it.

A source told OK! : "Coleen has put her foot down and told Wayne it cannot happen again. She’s really laid the law down and has warned him he won’t get another chance. But she’s saving her marriage and moving forward."
