Arsenal go to Austria for the opening match of their 2020/21 Europa League campaign.

The Gunners qualified for this year’s tournament by winning last season’s FA Cup, and go up against Rapid Vienna, who finished as runners-up in last season’s Austrian Bundesliga.

Mikel Arteta’s men have been drawn in Group B, with Molde and Dundalk, reigning champions of Norway and Ireland respectively, taking the other two places.

Arsenal lost 1-0 to Manchester City at the weekend, while their opponents are currently unbeaten this season with three wins and a draw from their opening four league games.

The bookies are wearing red and white blinkers for Arsenal's opening Europa League clash of the 2020/21 season.

thepools.com make The Gunners just 4/7 to triumph in Austria, with Rapid Vienna virtually written off at 17/4.

But beware. Rapid are in form and dangerous.

They have started the Austrian Bundesliga with three wins and a draw – interestingly conceding in four of their last five clashes.

They are usually strong at home, only Inter Milan having beaten them in their last nine Europa League outings at the Allianz Stadion, having held Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal and beaten Rangers, Basel, Spartak Moscow and Slovan Bratislava.

But they are in the Europa League because they couldn't get the better of Gent in a Champions League qualifier.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have only been beaten by the Premier League's two leading lights, Liverpool and Manchester City. Provided Mikel Arteta doesn't rotate too heavily the Gunners can justify those odds.

More reliably, Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score has come off twice from Rapid's four league games, and in three of Arsenal's five Premier League outings.

Arsenal to win and Both Teams To Score is a 2/1 tip while Over 2.5 goals is 4/6.

Rapid's Greece international Taxiarchis Fountas will be searching for his eighth goal across all competitions on Thursday, but Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette is expected to start in Vienna and 23/20 to score at any time and 15/4 to open the scoring.

Odds collected from thepools.com and are subject to change.
