CM Punk has hit out at fans for approaching him at airports during the pandemic.
The AEW star – who returned to the wresting world in August 2021, seven years after walking out on WWE – has been vocal in the past about inappropriate situations for fans to ask for photos and autographs, and his feelings have only increased given the global health crisis.
He tweeted: ‘Still in a pandemic. If you’re waiting at an airport to get stuff signed, you need to stop doing that s**t.’
And the former world champion reacted angrily one a Twitter follower shared a clip of Punk jumping into the crowd on his AEW Dynamite debut and added: ‘This you?’
Other fans offered the same sentiment, with one writing: ‘Didn’t you jump in a crowd a few months ago during a pandemic?’
And another said: ‘Diving into an unmasked crowd is okay while still in a pandemic tho (sic)’
He fired back, branding the fan a ‘stupid’ and pointing out the different circumstances surrounding the situations.
He replied: ‘Sure is me, you c***. At a show. Post vax, pre omicron, had to show proof of vax to gain entrance. NOT STALKING ANYONE AT AN AIRPORT OR A HOTEL. How stupid are you? (sic)’
Others defended the star, with one fan adding: ‘The fact that public people asking fans to stop stalking them and trying to get s**t signed still upsets people is baffling’.

Punk once even called out people for asking for autographs at airports on air as he referenced the situation during his infamous 2011 pipebomb promo on WWE Raw.
‘Those of you who are cheering me right now, you are just as big a part of me leaving as anything else,’ he said at the time. ‘Because you’re the ones who are sipping on those collector cups right now. You’re the ones that buy those programs that my face isn’t on the cover of.
‘And then at five in the morning at the airport, you try to shove it in my face so you can get an autograph and try to sell it on eBay because you’re too lazy to go get a real job.’
